WordPress Developer

Andersen is seeking a skilled WordPress Developer to join a project focused on developing and enhancing digital solutions across a diverse portfolio of international businesses. You will contribute to high-traffic platforms, optimizing performance and driving innovation in a collaborative, remote-first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Building and maintaining custom themes, plugins, and Gutenberg blocks for multilingual WordPress sites.
• Developing libraries, block collections, and tooling to streamline delivery across teams.
• Optimizing site performance, refactoring legacy code, and ensuring Core Web Vitals targets are met.
• Building and consuming REST APIs and managing integrations with third-party systems.
• Participating in code reviews and maintaining high engineering standards within CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

• Over 3.5 years of experience in WordPress development using Object-Oriented PHP (8.x, Composer, PSR-4).
• Deep knowledge of WordPress core APIs, including hooks, custom post types, and WP_Query.
• Proven experience building Gutenberg blocks with React, JSX, and modern build tooling.
• Strong proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES6+), CSS (Sass/PostCSS), and Git-based workflows.
• Experience with WordPress security best practices and performance optimization techniques.
• Intermediate or higher level of English proficiency.
