Currently, for one of our Partners, we are looking for an experienced Web3 Full-Stack Software Engineer (m/f/n) to support an EU Verify / Web3 project delivered for a European institutional environment.
Requirements
Full-stack software development within the JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystem: at least 10 years.
Web3 and blockchain solutions, including smart contract-based applications on EVM-compatible networks: at least 5 years.
Decentralised identity and verifiable credential solutions, including digital wallets based on W3C standards: at least 5 years.
Designing, building and securing RESTful APIs and web services: at least 5 years.
IT project delivery within the public sector or European institutional environment: at least 5 years.
Agile/Scrum delivery in complex, multi-stakeholder projects: at least 5 years.
JavaScript and TypeScript, including modern ECMAScript standards, type systems and asynchronous programming: at least 5 years.
Node.js and familiarity with Bun runtimes: at least 5 years.
NestJS for modular applications and microservices: at least 5 years.
RESTful APIs, OpenAPI specification and contract-first API design: at least 5 years.
XML, JSON, JSON Schema and JSON-LD: at least 5 years.
Web and API security standards: HTTPS, TLS, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, mTLS and JWT: at least 5 years.
React, including hooks, context and state management libraries: at least 5 years.
Next.js for server-side rendering and full-stack React applications: at least 5 years.
React Native for cross-platform mobile applications: at least 5 years.

PostgreSQL and MySQL, including schema design, indexing, query optimisation and complex SQL: at least 5 years.

Solidity smart contract development for EVM-compatible networks: at least 5 years.
Smart contract upgradeability patterns, including Contract Factory, Beacon Proxy, UUPS, Transparent Proxy and EIP-2535 Diamond: at least 5 years.
Ethereum standards and specifications: ERC-20, ERC-721, ERC-1155, ERC-1167, EIP-712 and EIP-1559: at least 5 years.
Hardhat, Foundry and OpenZeppelin libraries/frameworks: at least 5 years.
Smart contract interaction libraries, including ethers.js and viem: at least 5 years.
Hardware wallets, ECDSA cryptography, key management and EIP-712 signing mechanisms: at least 5 years.
Blockchain indexing and integration technologies, including SubGraph and GraphQL: at least 5 years.
DID standards and frameworks, including DID resolution, DID documents and DID-based authentication: at least 5 years.
W3C Verifiable Credentials Data Model, including issuance, revocation and verification flows: at least 5 years.
Digital wallet integration and credential exchange protocols: OpenID4VCI, OpenID4VP and SIOP v2: at least 5 years.
Docker and Kubernetes: at least 5 years.
CI/CD tools and practices, including GitLab CI, Jenkins, ArgoCD and infrastructure-as-code concepts: at least 5 years.
Git, JIRA and Confluence: at least 5 years.
SonarQube, code review practices and technical debt management: at least 5 years.
Full software development lifecycle management, from requirements analysis to production operations: at least 5 years.
Experience in technical experimentation, benchmarking and comparative evaluation of Web3 architectures, protocols and implementation strategies.
Experience designing and developing scalable web and mobile applications, including dApps.
Experience implementing smart contract interactions and verifiable credential issuance/verification workflows.
Experience writing and maintaining technical documentation, including API documentation, architecture decision records and developer guides.
Author or co-author of at least 2 publications in a peer-reviewed magazine in the field of IT, electronics or mathematics.
Education: EQF7 in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics, Mathematics or Physics.
English: minimum B2 level, with strong written and oral communication skills.
Nice to have
PhD in IT, Engineering, Mathematics or Physics.
Applied research experience related to Web3, decentralised identity, cryptography or distributed systems.
Experience collaborating with architects, researchers and standardisation experts.
Experience with research and publication of innovation issues related to IT and electronics.
Offer
Contract: B2B via SHIMI Poland.
Type of work: mostly remote / far-site work. Services must be performed from within the EU.
Location requirements: occasional on-site presence in Brussels may be required with 7 days’ notice.
Travel: occasional travel to Brussels may be required. Planned meetings are at the contractor’s cost, unless additional travel is explicitly requested and approved by the customer.
Rate: 450–540 EUR/MD.
