For a leading global pharmaceutical company, we are looking for a freelance Web Project Manager to support the internal Digital team in scaling the company’s digital presence across the North American market. You will work closely with stakeholders in North America as well as global digital specialists, driving web projects from planning through execution while ensuring alignment across teams and markets. As the role involves daily collaboration across time zones, it requires flexibility to accommodate occasional early-morning or evening meetings. The ideal candidate is a structured digital project manager with strong stakeholder management skills, experience delivering complex web projects, and the ability to keep multiple initiatives moving forward in a fast-paced, international environment.
Tasks:
Project Delivery & Coordination.
· Plan and lead end-to-end delivery of web initiatives — from briefing through QA to launch — ensuring timelines, scope, and quality standards are met across multiple concurrent workstreams.
· Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, in-house development and creative teams, acting as the connective tissue between business needs and technical execution — with occasional coordination with external consultants, freelancers, and select agency partners.
· Proactively identify risks, dependencies, and blockers; escalate early and propose solutions before issues become delays.
· Coordinate and plan resources around CMS editing activities; step in to make direct CMS updates when needed — occasional hands-on content edits to keep things moving without waiting in a queue.
Cross-Functional & Market Collaboration
· Partner with affiliate market teams, medical, regulatory, legal, and marketing stakeholders to plan and implement website updates aligned with brand and compliance standards.
· Support approval workflows, ensuring content adaptations meet market-specific regulatory and UX requirements.
· Facilitate alignment across functions — bridging gaps between content, design, tech, and business priorities.
Analytics, Quality & Continuous Improvement
· Track and interpret web performance data (e.g., GA4) to evaluate content engagement, identify UX friction points, and surface actionable improvement opportunities.
· Conduct regular website quality checks against brand guidelines, UX best practices, accessibility standards, and technical requirements.
· Contribute to the evolution of web content management workflows — identifying and implementing process efficiencies that reduce time-to-publish and improve team output.
Documentation & Reporting
· Develop clear, structured project documentation: briefs, roadmaps, meeting minutes, status reports, and stakeholder presentations.
· Maintain transparent and accurate progress visibility across all active projects, ensuring stakeholders are informed and aligned.
· Contribute to knowledge management practices that improve team scalability and onboarding.
Profile:
· +3 years of experience managing web projects or digital product initiatives, ideally in a regulated, multi-market, or complex stakeholder environment.
· Demonstrated ability to run multiple projects simultaneously with confidence, structure, and autonomy.
· Hands-on experience with CMS platforms (e.g., Contentful, WordPress, or comparable enterprise CMS).
· Solid analytical skills — comfortable reading data, drawing conclusions, and translating insights into recommendations.
· Solid written and verbal communication in English; additional languages are a meaningful advantage.
· Proficiency with project management tooling (e.g., Asana, Jira, or equivalent).
· Experience with web analytics platforms (GA4, Microsoft Clarity, or similar).
· Exposure to UX concepts, design systems, or working with product/design teams.
