Treasury Operations and Reconciliations Manager (Remote)

Finom is a rapidly growing European fintech startup on a mission to revolutionize financial management for entrepreneurs. We are looking for a Treasury Operations and Reconciliations Manager to join our team and ensure the seamless, secure, and efficient flow of funds across our payment infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily treasury operations, including the funding of payment channels and buffers around the clock.
• Oversee reconciliation processes across banks, card schemes, and payment processors, moving from manual checks to automated, transaction-level control.
• Ensure client money is fully safeguarded and that all regulatory and scheme reporting is accurate and timely.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design money flows for new products, ensuring robust reconciliation and safeguarding from the start.
• Act as the primary escalation point for payment incidents, building processes to resolve issues quickly and prevent recurrence.

Requirements

• Proven experience in treasury operations, payment operations, or reconciliation within an e-money institution, payment institution, or bank.
• Strong technical mindset with a track record of automating manual processes in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Hands-on knowledge of payment rails such as SEPA, SWIFT, and card schemes.
• Ability to design or rebuild complex money flows, including accounts, postings, and safeguarding treatments.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to explain complex financial processes clearly.
