Threat Research Analyst

Sigma Software is seeking a dedicated Threat Research Analyst to join a remote team focused on developing advanced application protection solutions. In this role, you will investigate suspicious activities, analyze complex attack vectors, and contribute to the enhancement of detection and blocking mechanisms for modern web applications.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and investigate suspicious activities using logs, dashboards, and advanced detection systems.
• Analyze attack patterns to build detailed threat scenarios based on collected data.
• Research and respond to security incidents and customer escalations.
• Improve detection mechanisms for automated attacks and malicious behaviors.
• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to strengthen product protection capabilities.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of commercial experience in cybersecurity or threat research.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL and practical knowledge of Kibana and Elasticsearch.
• Solid understanding of modern web applications, browser security, and HTTP/HTTPS protocols.
• Familiarity with front-end concepts, including DOM, events, and WebSockets.
• Upper-Intermediate English level or higher.
