Thai Language Transcription Expert

CrowdGen by Appen is seeking a dedicated Thai Language Transcription Expert to join Project Lupin. This initiative focuses on enhancing AI-powered speech recognition models by providing high-quality, verbatim transcriptions of real audio recordings.

Key responsibilities

• Produce precise, verbatim transcripts that capture every detail, including filler words, stutters, and repetitions.
• Perform accurate timestamping of audio segments with minimal deviation.
• Label speakers in multi-participant conversations ranging from 2 to 8 people.
• Annotate non-speech events such as background noise, laughter, and unintelligible audio.
• Ensure a transcription accuracy rate of 98% or higher across all assigned tasks.

Requirements

• Native-level fluency in Thai, including a deep understanding of regional accents and informal speech patterns.
• Strong listening comprehension skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Access to a reliable laptop or desktop computer and a stable internet connection.
• Ability to commit to a minimum of 10 hours of work per week.
• Previous experience in transcription, linguistics, or data annotation is considered an advantage.
