This time you have the chance to be part of a project related to the development, consulting and support of IT systems for Frontex. The European Border and Coast Guard Agency supports EU Member States and Schengen-associated countries in the management of the EU's external borders and the fight against cross-border crime

Our expectations

• Minimum 5 years of IT professional experience as a Test Engineer or in a similar testing role.

• Minimum 4 years of project experience relevant to the role or in a similar position.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

• At least one of the following is required: ISTQB Advanced Certification an equivalent certification recognized internationally or at least 3 additional years of experience in test management beyond the minimum required experience in a similar position.

• Strong expertise in software testing, including unit, integration, functional, performance, stress, acceptance, and regression testing.

• Proven experience in designing, configuring, and maintaining test environments.

• Hands-on experience in testing complex enterprise systems.

• Experience in setting up and configuring test management tools for new projects.

• Experience in creating and maintaining test documentation, including test plans, test cases, test scenarios, and test reports.

• Proven experience in planning, coordinating, and leading testing activities in complex projects.

• Practical knowledge of software testing tools and test management solutions.

• Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Test Plans.

• Hands-on experience in writing and executing SQL queries for test data validation and analysis.

• Experience in testing SharePoint-based applications.

• Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and software development processes.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to quickly learn new technologies and business domains.

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.



Key tasks

• Responsible for defining the testing strategy and planning test activities.

• Develop test plans, test cases, and design testing environments.

• Implement, execute, and debug application test cases and scripts.

• Validate and document the completion of testing activities and development tasks.

• Interpret test results and report on test progress, issues, and risks.

• Analyze functional and technical system designs to ensure testability.

• Contribute to quality assurance activities within the project.

• Document test activities and track defects.

• Monitor test results, analyze system quality, and report on status and trends.

• Cooperate with analysts, architects, Software Development teams, and service desk teams.
