Technical Program Manager II

Akamai Technologies is seeking a Technical Program Manager II to join our global Technology Group. You will play a pivotal role in driving complex, cross-functional projects that advance our cloud computing infrastructure and support our mission to build the world's most performant and reliable global platform.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of multiple complex technical programs, ensuring alignment with key business objectives.
• Facilitate effective communication and maintain detailed documentation across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Report on program status, risk assessments, process dependencies, and success metrics to senior stakeholders.
• Engage with internal engineering teams, specifically focusing on server hardware components like GPUs and smartNICs.
• Implement continuous process improvements by adopting industry best practices.

Requirements

• Proficient experience in program or project management within a technical, cross-functional environment.
• Strong background in software project cycle management and agile methodologies.
• Technical expertise related to software scope, with knowledge of GPUs, smartNICs, or DPUs being a significant asset.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced setting.
