Technical Mentor (Content Creation)

ALX Africa is seeking a passionate Technical Mentor to join our Content Creation program. In this role, you will guide emerging African creatives as they master storytelling, visual communication, and the strategic skills necessary to thrive in the modern creator economy.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate weekly live study sessions covering brand building, video editing, storytelling, and content strategy.
• Provide actionable technical feedback on learner projects and portfolios to help them attract professional opportunities.
• Maintain a consistent presence on our community platform to encourage peer collaboration and answer learner questions.
• Host and support live community events, including creative showcases, feedback sessions, and portfolio reviews.
• Collaborate with the team to improve curriculum content, resources, and community engagement strategies.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a digital content creator with a track record of publishing engaging work.
• Strong proficiency in content creation and editing tools such as CapCut, Canva, Premiere Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Deep understanding of storytelling, audience engagement, and content growth strategies.
• Experience in mentoring, coaching, or providing constructive feedback to early-stage creatives.
• Ability to work effectively in a fully remote, digital-first environment across GMT to GMT+3 time zones.
