Technical Lead

Bjak is seeking a highly skilled Technical Lead to join our global team and help shape the future of financial technology in Southeast Asia. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for driving the technical direction and execution of major products that serve millions of users, ensuring our systems remain scalable, reliable, and innovative.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical design and execution for major products, systems, and engineering initiatives.
• Design scalable and reliable architectures across backend, frontend, APIs, databases, and cloud infrastructure.
• Remain hands-on by coding, prototyping, conducting code reviews, and solving complex production issues.
• Drive critical architectural decisions, balancing trade-offs between speed, scalability, cost, and maintainability.
• Mentor engineers and raise the overall quality of our development practices, testing, and security.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience building and shipping production-grade systems.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and modern backend or frontend technologies.
• Proven track record of technically leading major engineering projects from initial design through to production.
• Strong ability to translate ambiguous product requirements into clear, actionable technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed international team.
