Technical Lead of Business Operations

Akamai Technologies is seeking a Technical Lead of Business Operations to serve as a key partner within our ThreatOps and Vulnerability Management function. In this role, you will bridge the gap between security teams and internal stakeholders, designing intelligent, automated systems that protect our data and user community while driving program maturity and strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a customer middleware between security teams, business unit liaisons, and internal stakeholders to facilitate effective communication.
• Lead the strategic roadmap for vulnerability management tools, ensuring alignment with business priorities and engineering capacity.
• Translate operational gaps and security needs into clear user stories and prioritized backlogs for development teams.
• Prepare executive updates, define strategic investments, and lead long-term planning to improve program visibility and reporting.
• Create comprehensive documentation, onboarding guides, and training sessions to ensure consistent tool adoption across the organization.

Requirements

• Prior experience in Program or Project Management, ideally within the Cyber-Security or Vulnerability Management industry.
• Proven track record of designing, implementing, and supporting internal tools for diverse customer bases.
• Excellent presentation skills with the ability to simplify complex technical topics for an executive audience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, including experience in facilitation and contingency planning.
• Demonstrated ability to manage product planning, estimate effort, and provide clear status updates.
