Tether is looking for a Technical Lead to oversee the architecture and delivery of Cosmic AC, our GPU compute and managed inference platform. You will lead a distributed team of engineers to build and operate a robust infrastructure stack, transitioning from managed clusters to bare-metal GPU environments.
Key responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end platform architecture, including design proposals and implementation plans.
- Lead and line-manage a distributed team of engineers across backend, frontend, DevOps, and QA.
- Design and operate a managed Slurm scheduling layer for research and model-training teams.
- Manage Kubernetes control plane lifecycle, GPU enablement, and bare-metal cluster operations.
- Define observability standards, incident response models, and SLOs for the GPU fleet.
- Act as the primary technical interface for infrastructure partners and hardware vendors.
Requirements
- 8+ years of engineering experience, with at least 3 years leading infrastructure platform teams.
- Hands-on experience with Slurm at scale, including partitions, accounting, and node health.
- Deep expertise in GPU fleet operations, NVIDIA driver lifecycles, and CUDA.
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems, high-performance interconnects, and Kubernetes production operations.
- Working fluency in JavaScript to review control plane and CLI services.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
