Currently, for one of our Partners, we are looking for an experienced Technical Communicator (m/f/n) to support a long‑term project delivered for an organization of the European Commission based in Brussels.
Tasks:
Coordinate continuously with the technical and support teams to collect information that must be communicated to various user communities.
Distil and adapt internal technical information into materials (text, image, video, presentations, etc.) fit for external communication.
Ensure lively and fresh content on the eDelivery web site by drafting and publishing news articles and success stories and continuously reviewing published content.
Produce and disseminate communication materials for eDelivery stakeholder communities (eDelivery newsletter, technical notifications, invitations to events, etc.).
Organise meetings with stakeholders on demand to present eDelivery and provide relevant onboarding information.
Organise meetings of various technical communities, ensuring meeting preparation, dissemination of invitations, meeting logistics (usually online), invitation of speakers, preparation of presentations, preparation/dissemination of meeting minutes.
Define, prepare, and organise webinars presenting topics relevant to eDelivery external stakeholders.
Manage established and future online communities.
Present eDelivery on demand to interested stakeholders.
Monitor designated functional mailboxes and respond to stakeholder communication in a timely and professional manner (in English).
Define and coordinate the recording, post-processing, and publishing of videos of eDelivery-related presentations and webinars and embed them on the eDelivery web site.
Ensure customer relationship management aimed at supporting and monitoring the reuse of eDelivery.
Requirements:
3 years of experience in analysing complex information (technical, policy, etc.) and communicating through different means to different audiences.
3 years of experience in communicating technical information to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
3 years of experience drafting English text in formal style meant for public consumption.
3 years of experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Experience working in an international/intergovernmental organisation or central national administration (e.g., European Institutions or other large public administrations) - (profiles with more than 2 years of experience will be evaluated more favourably).
Experience preparing and organising large meetings for an international/intergovernmental organisation or central national administration (e.g., European Institutions or other large public administrations).
Experience in the area of large-scale digitalisation (cross-board, at European scale), interoperability, digital sovereignty and related policy areas.
Experience with tools and methodologies related to digital communication (in particular web and mass email).
Experience with project management.
Experience using Atlassian collaborative tools (e.g., Confluence and Jira).
Experience using Microsoft Teams.
Experience with handling personal data.
Experience with European data protection legislation and guidelines for online communication.
Excellent knowledge of English (minimum level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages – CEFR), with strong written and oral communication skills.
Good knowledge of French (minimum level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages – CEFR) is considered an advantage

Mostly remote set-up. Services must be performed from within the EU. Two physical meetings with the customer are foreseen per 12-month period, max 2 days each. These planned meetings are at contractor’s cost.
Rate: 300-350 EUR/MD
