Team Leader – Underwriting Assistant

Ledgebrook is seeking an experienced Underwriting Support Team Leader to join our growing operations team. You will play a pivotal role in leading and developing a team of Underwriting Support Analysts, ensuring high-quality execution of underwriting activities while contributing to our expansion in the Polish market.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a growing team of Underwriting Support Analysts.
• Manage day-to-day operations, workload distribution, and performance to ensure timely completion of underwriting tasks.
• Oversee the submission lifecycle, including review, account clearance, data entry, and documentation.
• Partner with Underwriters and Operations teams to identify priorities and resolve issues efficiently.
• Identify opportunities to simplify and scale underwriting support processes and workflows.

Requirements

• Proven experience in the insurance industry, specifically within underwriting support or operations.
• Strong understanding of underwriting processes, guidelines, and delegated authorities.
• Previous experience in leading, managing, or coaching team members.
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
