Team Lead Java Engineer (f/m/x)

AUTOHERO is looking for an experienced Team Lead Java Engineer to join our dynamic team. You will play a critical leadership role in our service-oriented platform, overseeing a subset of our 300+ RESTful microservices while driving architectural excellence and team growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of talented software engineers to ensure high-quality deliveries.
• Own the architecture, design, development, and maintenance of a subset of our microservices.
• Solve complex technical problems using your deep expertise in Java and modern software design patterns.
• Hire world-class talent and foster a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure our platform remains scalable, reliable, and aligned with strategic business goals.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of professional experience in Java programming with a strong understanding of the JVM.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role, managing developers and taking responsibility for software delivery.
• Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring-based technologies, ideally including Spring Cloud.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API design and modern software architecture principles.
• Ability to balance technical idealism with the practical, everyday needs of a fast-paced business environment.
