Systems Engineer (Trading Infrastructure)

Eqvilent is seeking a skilled Systems Engineer to join our globally distributed Trading Infrastructure team. In this end-to-end role, you will manage full-stack infrastructure tasks, ranging from new site setups and environment bring-up to performance bottleneck analysis and troubleshooting, ensuring reliable production-ready systems.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end infrastructure setups across regions, including bring-up, validation, and go-live readiness.
• Manage the systems stack, including Linux servers, OS baselines, configuration, and performance tuning.
• Develop repeatable automation and rollout playbooks using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Investigate complex issues across OS, kernel, and driver layers while collaborating with network and hardware peers.
• Improve system observability through metrics, logs, dashboards, and alert tuning.

Requirements

• Hands-on production experience with Linux and advanced systems troubleshooting.
• Strong networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, routing, and packet analysis.
• Automation mindset with proficiency in Bash or Python scripting.
• Ability to debug across layers and coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for documentation and incident reporting.
