System Analyst

Novacard is redefining personal finance as the first interest-free and no-annual-fee credit card in Mexico, designed to simplify financial management through a mobile app. We are currently seeking an experienced System Analyst to join our team and play a pivotal role in designing target solutions and supporting our development teams through complex system migrations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze existing systems to identify business rules, dependencies, and constraints.
• Develop detailed technical requirements and specifications for functionality migration.
• Define and align integration contracts, including REST APIs, JSON schemas, and event contracts.
• Model and visualize business processes and data flows using BPMN and UML diagrams.
• Decompose technical initiatives into actionable development tasks, User Stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Support development teams during delivery by participating in backlog grooming and sprint planning.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a System Analyst, ideally within fintech, banking, or e-commerce.
• Deep understanding of REST API principles and hands-on experience with Swagger/OpenAPI and Postman.
• Strong SQL skills, including complex queries and PostgreSQL database knowledge.
• Proficiency in creating structured diagrams using BPMN and UML.
• Experience with event-driven architecture, message brokers like Kafka or RabbitMQ, and microservices.
• Proven ability to manage legacy system analysis and data migration strategies.
