Subject Matter Expert – Medicine & Biostatistics Chart Analysis

micro1 is seeking a Subject Matter Expert in Medicine and Biostatistics to contribute advanced domain insights to a specialized project. In this role, you will apply your professional expertise to help train next-generation AI systems, shaping how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret complex medical and biostatistical charts, including Kaplan-Meier curves, forest plots, ROC curves, and hazard-ratio plots with professional accuracy.
• Draft clear, objective, and multi-step analytical questions based on intricate visual data that require quantitative reasoning.
• Deliver precise answers accompanied by comprehensive, step-by-step explanations in expert-level English, outlining calculations and statistical inferences.
• Apply domain-specific terminology, ensuring accurate reference to units, scales, confidence intervals, p-values, and annotations.
• Design reasoning tasks that emphasize graphical interpretation, comparisons, and trend analysis while avoiding subjective phrasing.

Requirements

• Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in Medicine, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Public Health, or a related quantitative field.
• At least two years of professional or research experience interpreting clinical trial data or epidemiological visualizations.
• Advanced skill with statistical annotations, axes, legends, and scales in medical charts.
• Proven ability to articulate analytical processes and provide clinical reasoning in high-quality written English.
• Experience in technical documentation, scientific publishing, or structured data annotation.
