Subject Matter Expert – Financial & Operations Chart Analysis

micro1 is seeking a Subject Matter Expert in Financial and Operations Chart Analysis to contribute to a project focused on high-level chart interpretation and reasoning. In this role, you will apply your specialized domain knowledge to help train next-generation AI systems, shaping how models learn and perform through high-quality, real-world analytical inputs.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret complex financial and operational charts, including candlestick charts, yield curves, drawdown charts, and process flows using advanced domain expertise.
• Draft clear, objective reasoning questions based on intricate visualizations that require multi-step quantitative analysis.
• Deliver precise answers accompanied by comprehensive written explanations and explicit analytical steps in professional English.
• Apply accurate financial, economic, and operational terminology to ensure clarity in units, scales, and timeframes.
• Develop robust tasks targeting graphical reasoning, trend analysis, and interpolation to support the evaluation of advanced AI models.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or Operations Management.
• Minimum of two years of professional or research experience interpreting financial market data, risk metrics, or operational performance charts.
• Advanced proficiency in interpreting technical chart features such as axes, legends, scales, and annotations.
• Strong ability to articulate analytical processes and quantitative reasoning clearly in written and spoken English.
• Experience in technical documentation, financial reporting, or the creation of structured analytical tasks.
