Subject Matter Expert – Chart & Data Visualization Analysis

micro1 is seeking Subject Matter Experts in Chart and Data Visualization Analysis to contribute to a high-impact project focused on training next-generation AI systems. You will apply your domain expertise to help models learn and reason by providing high-quality, real-world input based on complex data visualizations.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and analyze domain-specific charts, graphs, and data visualizations with high accuracy and precise terminology.
• Design clear, unambiguous questions that require multi-step quantitative reasoning based on information-rich charts.
• Develop objectively answerable tasks focused on in-depth reasoning, calculations, comparisons, and trend analysis.
• Provide precise answers along with detailed, step-by-step explanations of your reasoning and calculation process.
• Ensure all tasks utilize correct chart terms, units, axes, scales, legends, and statistical features.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant domain such as Medicine, Finance, Engineering, Earth Science, or Data Science.
• At least two years of professional, academic, or research experience working with domain-relevant charts or quantitative data.
• Demonstrated ability to select and interpret complex charts, including those with multiple data series or statistical annotations.
• Proven ability to write unambiguous, objectively answerable questions and communicate calculations clearly in English.
• Experience with remote collaboration and asynchronous communication within technical or research teams.
