Strategic Project Lead, MD/Medical Expertise

micro1 is seeking a Strategic Project Lead with medical expertise to serve as the primary point of contact for top AI Lab customers. In this role, you will manage teams of healthcare professionals, including MDs and PhDs, to train frontier AI models while ensuring the highest standards of data integrity and operational scalability.

Key responsibilities

• Own projects end-to-end, ensuring high satisfaction for top-tier AI Lab clients.
• Manage complex healthcare and medical data pipelines to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
• Lead and oversee teams of Human Data Managers who review the work of medical subject-matter experts.
• Communicate directly with AI Labs regarding high-impact projects and provide executive-level insights.
• Define, track, and optimize KPIs across expert-driven workflows in collaboration with Human Data Engineers.

Requirements

• Exceptional soft skills and stakeholder management ability when working with senior medical experts.
• Strong startup and entrepreneurial mindset with a willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Background in data operations, engineering, computer science, or deep exposure to healthcare and medicine.
• At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role driving operational processes or managing large-scale data projects.
• An MD degree is considered a strong plus for this position.
