Storyteller

LaunchX is an organization dedicated to empowering high school students by fostering entrepreneurial mindsets and practical skills through hands-on educational programs. We are seeking a passionate Storyteller to act as a human interest journalist, capturing the unique experiences and growth of our global community of students, alumni, mentors, and team members.

Key responsibilities

• Interview community members to surface and document compelling human interest stories.
• Write diverse content including long-form profiles, essays, blog posts, and social media copy.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to identify stories that align with our mission and brand.
• Create content across multiple formats, including written pieces, photo captions, and video scripts.
• Manage a story pipeline, tracking sources and ideas to ensure a consistent flow of content.

Requirements

• Strong writing skills with a proven ability to craft engaging human interest narratives.
• Experience conducting interviews and synthesizing information into polished, publish-ready content.
• Background in journalism, communications, or a related field.
• Genuine curiosity about people and a deep interest in entrepreneurship and youth development.
• Ability to work independently, manage projects with minimal oversight, and pass a background check.
