Staff Software Engineer

Distribusion is a leading global ground transportation marketplace, connecting bus, rail, and ferry operators with major online retailers like Google Maps and Booking.com. We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our Offers team and help shape the future of travel technology.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the strategic architectural transition of our core Search Engine from Elixir to Go.
• Design foundational infrastructure for high-throughput microservices to ensure seamless interoperability.
• Build scalable, automated delivery systems using our AI stack while maintaining a hands-on approach.
• Own the technical backlog and coordinate cross-functional work to align with long-term business objectives.
• Mentor peers in Go best practices and lead company-wide technology adoption.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in Golang.
• Deep architectural mastery of high-throughput distributed systems, microservices, Elasticsearch, Kubernetes, and GCP.
• Ability to translate complex technical decisions into business metrics to resolve growth hurdles.
• Strong experience with agile methodologies, test-driven development, and robust CI/CD pipelines.
• Fluency in English and a passion for continuous self-development and mentoring others.
