Staff Software Engineer

Yard Corporate is seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to join a US-headquartered scale-up specializing in cybersecurity and threat prevention. You will work on a real-time platform that protects global digital services from fraud and automated attacks, operating at a massive scale with a focus on high-throughput API traffic and low-latency performance.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and deliver end-to-end features using a robust tech stack centered on Ruby on Rails, Angular, and AWS.
• Design and optimize public-facing APIs with a strong focus on developer ergonomics, efficiency, and reliability.
• Drive continuous quality through thorough code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical mentoring.
• Work in an autonomous, streamlined engineering team where your technical decisions directly shape the platform's trajectory.

Requirements

• 6+ years of commercial software development experience, ideally within SaaS, fintech, or high-growth product companies.
• Strong experience with Ruby on Rails or deep expertise in Node.js with the ability to transition into a Ruby environment.
• Proven track record of shipping scale-ready, public-facing APIs optimized for developer consumption.
• C1+ fluent written and spoken English for daily collaboration in a distributed team.
