Staff Software Engineer

Prerender, a key brand within saas.group, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join our team. We empower marketers to create dynamic, complex sites at scale, ensuring JavaScript websites are easily indexable by search engines for over 100,000 global customers.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architectural evolution by driving cross-team initiatives that prioritize simplicity, scalability, and testability.
• Coach and mentor engineers at all levels through pairing, design reviews, and hands-on guidance in XP practices.
• Simplify complex technical challenges related to performance, reliability, and distributed rendering.
• Partner with product and leadership to align technical strategy with long-term business goals.
• Champion sustainable quality by promoting TDD, pair programming, and continuous delivery.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience designing and shipping complex, distributed systems.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale technical initiatives that strengthened core systems.
• Deep expertise in modern backend development, ideally with TypeScript/Node.js or Golang, and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Strong systems thinking with the ability to connect product goals to technical architecture.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex ideas to diverse audiences.
