Staff Software Engineer — Node.js, React & AI

iTeamly is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our team and help shape the future of our products. In this role, you will take end-to-end ownership of complex features and services, leveraging an AI-first approach to deliver scalable, high-quality technical solutions in a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Translate ambiguous product requirements into simple, scalable technical architectures and actionable tasks.
• Utilize AI agents like Cursor or Copilot to plan, implement, and refactor code while maintaining high engineering standards.
• Review and verify AI-generated code to ensure security, performance, and reliability before production deployment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Managers and DevOps to drive technical direction and resolve complex production issues.
• Take full ownership of service boundaries, API design, and long-term maintainability of the codebase.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Senior Software Engineer with a deep understanding of software fundamentals and distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and React/Next.js.
• Proven ability to design robust APIs, schemas, and database structures for scalable applications.
• An AI-native development mindset, with practical experience integrating coding agents into daily workflows.
• Excellent communication skills in English (C1+) and the ability to work independently on complex, ambiguous problems.
