Staff Software Developer, Dealer Solutions (Europe)

Leap Tools is a rapidly growing tech company providing advanced solutions for the interior décor industry, serving customers in over 80 countries. We are seeking a Staff Software Developer to provide technical leadership and direction as we modernize our systems and integrate our recently acquired ERP solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical direction of the QFloors-to-ERP migration, including domain sequencing, data modeling, and cutover strategies.
• Design systems six months ahead, breaking down complex work to ensure productivity across multiple engineering teams.
• Drive large-scale projects to completion, maintaining a hands-on approach in the code while delegating effectively.
• Mentor engineers across various technologies, helping the team transition from legacy desktop systems to modern web stacks.
• Partner with product leadership and the CTO to define the technical roadmap and ensure platform scalability and observability.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software development experience building and operating scalable, reliable production systems.
• Proven track record of leading multi-team migrations or re-platforming projects involving live users and data.
• Strong data modeling skills with experience designing schemas for multi-tenant systems.
• Exceptional architectural instincts and the ability to influence technical decisions across multiple codebases.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to mentor senior engineers in a high-autonomy environment.
