Staff Software Developer, Backend (Europe)

Leap Tools Inc. is a rapidly growing technology company revolutionizing the interior décor industry with advanced visualization solutions used by global brands. We are seeking an ambitious Staff Software Developer to join our remote-first engineering team and help scale our foundational backend systems.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the architecture and evolution of complex ETL and data processing systems for our internal product catalog platform.
• Design distributed systems capable of reliably processing large, variable datasets from thousands of customers.
• Identify and eliminate performance bottlenecks to improve throughput and end-to-end processing latency.
• Serve as a force multiplier by mentoring senior engineers, conducting architecture reviews, and setting high technical standards.
• Partner with leadership to define technical direction and plan for long-term scalability and performance.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience building and operating scalable, reliable systems in production environments.
• Strong expertise in designing complex ETL pipelines and high-throughput data-intensive systems.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, including concurrency, consistency, fault tolerance, and horizontal scaling.
• Proven ability to mentor senior engineers and guide teams through technical ambiguity.
• Experience with Python, Django, Kubernetes, and PostgreSQL is highly preferred.
