Staff Research Team Lead

RTB House is seeking a Staff Research Team Lead to guide a dedicated team of machine learning researchers while maintaining a hands-on approach to technical development. In this role, you will be at the heart of our technological innovation, directly influencing core metrics and driving the evolution of our production-grade ML systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 4-8 researchers, setting clear project directions and prioritizing tasks to ensure successful delivery.
• Own research projects from initial conception and analysis through to final deployment in production environments.
• Solve complex, ambiguous problems by defining clear goals, measuring success, and implementing effective, elegant solutions.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to communicate project visions and ensure alignment across the organization.
• Foster the professional growth of team members through consistent feedback, mentorship, and technical guidance.

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on expertise in applied machine learning, with a proven track record of shipping models to production.
• Strong leadership experience, including the ability to manage, unblock, and inspire a team of high-performing researchers.
