Staff Python Engineer, Document App Track

PandaDoc is seeking a Staff Python Engineer to join our Document App Track. As part of the Document Domain team, you will own one of the most critical components of our platform, focusing on the core functionality that powers document creation, editing, and management for over 67,000 organizations.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the long-term evolution and technical strategy of the Document Domain, balancing product needs, scalability, and developer experience.
• Champion AI-driven development workflows to improve the effectiveness, quality, and productivity of the engineering organization.
• Lead cross-team initiatives to deliver best-in-class document capabilities while aligning architecture across the track.
• Mentor engineers to ensure their technical growth and maintain high-quality standards.

Requirements

• 6+ years of professional development experience with Python.
• Strong knowledge of relational databases, message queues, event-driven systems, DDD fundamentals, and asynchronous programming.
• Fluency with AI-assisted development workflows to enhance personal and team productivity.
• Ability to communicate complex technical ideas clearly in English.
• Solid understanding of the full development cycle, from requirements analysis to deployment and monitoring.
