Staff Operations Engineer

As a Staff Operations Engineer, you will lead the design, reliability, and evolution of our infrastructure, playing a critical role in shaping the technical direction of our systems while working across diverse teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve architecture within a defined infrastructure domain, ensuring systems are scalable and reliable.
• Lead the delivery of complex, high-impact infrastructure projects and drive performance improvements.
• Collaborate across IT, SRE, and Security teams to unify solutions and ensure seamless integration.
• Improve system reliability through monitoring, capacity planning, and root cause analysis.
• Mentor engineers and raise the technical quality of the team through design reviews and shared practices.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure roles.
• Strong expertise in VMware, Cisco UCS, and application/network load balancers.
• Solid understanding of Linux/Unix operating systems and networking fundamentals like DNS, TCP/IP, and routing.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical work and influence decisions across teams.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code, scripting, and modern observability practices.
