Staff Fullstack Engineer

Clera is an AI-native fintech SaaS company dedicated to building modern Financial Planning & Analysis software for finance teams. We are seeking a Staff Fullstack Engineer to partner with our executive leadership to shape our platform architecture and influence our engineering culture from an early stage.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with leadership and teammates to prioritize and execute on the product roadmap.
• Design, develop, and own complex features and software components end-to-end.
• Deliver robust, scalable, and well-tested code across the full stack.
• Establish engineering best practices that lay the foundation for a high-performing, growing team.
• Partner with Design and Operations teams to continuously improve the product.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software development experience, with 3+ years contributing to system design or architecture.
• Strong full-stack proficiency using TypeScript/JavaScript on the frontend and Node.js on the backend.
• Solid experience with React; well-balanced full-stack or frontend-leaning engineers are a strong fit.
• Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform and BigQuery to architect, deploy, and operate scalable cloud services.
• Experience modeling, querying, and optimizing MongoDB schemas for performance at scale.
• Proven track record leading platform architecture decisions and mentoring engineers.
