Staff Engineer

As a Staff Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in setting technical direction, guiding architecture, and fostering a high-performing engineering culture within a fully remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor an engineering team, focusing on hiring, coaching, performance management, and career development.
• Define and evolve the technical strategy for developer platforms, internal tooling, and complex dashboards.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to deliver roadmap outcomes with high velocity and craftsmanship.
• Establish and maintain rigorous engineering standards, including code quality, testing, documentation, and operational excellence.
• Drive architectural decisions across the full stack, utilizing modern technologies like React 19 and Node.js.

Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in software development, with at least 2–4 years in a leadership role such as Engineering Manager or Tech Lead.
• Strong full-stack proficiency, specifically with React and Node.js, including modern front-end patterns and API design.
• Proven experience in shipping and operating production-grade systems, including cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and observability.
• Demonstrated ability to balance rapid development speed with long-term quality in fast-paced startup environments.
• Excellent communication skills with a track record of developing engineers and making sound technical judgments.
