Staff Cloud Security Engineer

Egnyte is a secure multi-cloud platform for content security and governance, helping organizations protect and collaborate on their most valuable data. Our Cloud Security team is responsible for the end-to-end security of our primary GCP infrastructure, including guardrails, automation, and IAM design.

Key responsibilities

• Build automation to replace manual tasks, including Policy-as-Code and auto-remediation.
• Lead technical reviews on cloud architecture and translate findings into reusable security guardrails.
• Collaborate with product and engineering teams to design and implement robust cloud security solutions.
• Mature cloud incident response processes, including detection coverage and runbooks.
• Design scalable IAM patterns and mentor members of the Cloud Security team.

Requirements

• Senior or staff level experience in cloud engineering with hands-on security ownership.
• Proven track record of leading security reviews and implementing secure-by-design patterns.
• Experience integrating security controls into CI/CD pipelines using scripting and Policy as Code.
• Strong knowledge of Linux administration, containerized workloads, and Kubernetes security.
• Hands-on experience with CNAPP or CSPM platforms such as Wiz, Orca, or Prisma.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
