Solution Architect (Python, Go)

Shimi is seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect with expertise in Python and Go to join a dynamic team. This role focuses on designing high-performance, scalable network-oriented systems and requires deep technical knowledge of low-level networking and distributed architectures.

Key responsibilities

• Designing and implementing high-throughput services using Go and asynchronous Python.
• Developing robust network automation solutions for major vendor hardware including Cisco, Arista, and Juniper.
• Managing complex data movement pipelines using Protocol Buffers, Kafka, and columnar storage systems.
• Optimizing system performance through routine profiling, memory management, and efficient data structure selection.
• Ensuring system reliability through advanced testing strategies, including load testing and snapshot testing.

Requirements

• Expertise in Go (concurrency, profiling) and asynchronous Python (event loops, multiprocess workers).
• Deep understanding of networking protocols (L2-L4), flow telemetry (IPFIX, NetFlow), and packet analysis.
• Strong experience with Linux internals, socket programming, and system tuning for high packet rates.
• Proficiency in containerization, Kubernetes, and delivering self-contained binaries for customer infrastructure.
• Ability to design distributed state systems with a focus on eventual consistency and idempotent replay.
