Link Group is seeking a Senior Solution Architect to join a multi-year programme focused on transforming legacy discovery data into a harmonised, AI-ready foundation for vaccines and infectious disease research. You will play a pivotal role in designing scalable technical solutions that integrate complex scientific workflows, ensuring data is captured, governed, and accessible for advanced analytics.
Key responsibilities
- Define and maintain the end-to-end target architecture across scientific data workflows.
- Design data mesh and data product architectures, including data contracts and lifecycle management.
- Develop cloud data solutions using Microsoft Azure and Databricks, focusing on lakehouse and Delta architectures.
- Define integration architectures connecting ELN, LIMS, and scientific instruments with governed data platforms.
- Operationalise FAIR data principles to support cataloguing, discoverability, and AI/ML readiness.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect within pharma, biotech, or life sciences R&D environments.
- Deep, hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure, Databricks, and modern data mesh architectures.
- Strong understanding of scientific data workflows, including ELN, LIMS, and laboratory systems.
- Practical knowledge of metadata management, data lineage, and regulatory controls like GxP.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to bridge the gap between scientific, business, and technical stakeholders.
