Solution Architect (Payments)

DataArt is seeking a skilled Solution Architect to join an international payments technology company. In this role, you will define and guide the architecture for card acquiring and payment processing, ensuring the delivery of scalable, high-performance solutions within a complex global ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve the solution architecture for card acquiring and processing, covering authorization, switching, routing, and settlement.
• Design end-to-end transaction flows for card-present and card-not-present scenarios, including exception handling.
• Design integration patterns with card schemes, processors, banks, and payment gateways using ISO 8583 standards.
• Define resilience and failure-handling patterns for high-throughput, low-latency transaction processing.
• Ensure architecture compliance with PCI DSS and payment security requirements, including tokenization.

Requirements

• Strong experience as a Solution Architect or Lead Architect in card acquiring or payment processing.
• Proven experience designing or evolving acquiring platforms, payment switches, or transaction processing systems.
• Deep understanding of the acquiring transaction lifecycle and practical knowledge of ISO 8583.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, including idempotency, retries, and recovery scenarios.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong software engineering background with hands-on development experience.
