Solution Architect (Java)

DataArt is seeking a highly skilled Solution Architect to join a team developing and upgrading systems for a major international association of financial industry professionals. You will own the solution architecture for Java services, defining service boundaries, API contracts, and integration patterns while remaining hands-on with Micronaut services to ensure high-quality delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Own the solution architecture for Java services across authoring, governance, transformation, and delivery.
• Design a canonical content model for modular lessons, topics, and assessments, ensuring stability across Java APIs and React frontends.
• Architect workflows for approvals, versioning, quality gates, and audit trails.
• Define identity and entitlement integration, including SSO, JWT validation, and secure access patterns.
• Shape AWS runtime architecture, including Aurora PostgreSQL, S3, CloudFront, and container deployment.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in solution, content, or enterprise architecture with a strong record of shipping Java services.
• Production experience with modern Java frameworks like Micronaut or Spring, REST, and OpenAPI.
• Strong cloud architecture expertise on AWS, including relational data, object storage, and CDN.
• Experience with taxonomy, ontology platforms, and search/discovery architecture.
• Familiarity with learning delivery standards such as LTI 1.3, SCORM, and xAPI.
