The Wikimedia Foundation is seeking an experienced Software Quality Manager to lead two teams dedicated to testing and documentation services. Key responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to align on testing and documentation needs while balancing project goals.
- Drive execution by tracking performance metrics, meeting SLAs, and unblocking team initiatives.
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of automated test suites and technical documentation.
- Promote a quality-first mindset and best practices across various engineering teams.
- Coach team members, conduct performance reviews, and build an inclusive, productive work culture.
Requirements
- Demonstrated engineering experience in a technical management or leadership role.
- Strong hands-on experience developing and reviewing applications in languages such as Go, Python, or PHP.
- Proven track record of managing teams providing centralized services like QA or technical documentation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical topics clearly.
- Experience working with multicultural, remote, and distributed high-performing teams.
