Software Engineering Specialist

micro1 is seeking a Software Engineering Specialist to contribute to a high-impact project focused on technical analysis and documentation. Key responsibilities

• Analyze and articulate the rationale behind technical decisions, providing detailed explanations of trade-offs and system design considerations.
• Evaluate code samples and architectural proposals, delivering expert-level written feedback on strengths, weaknesses, and potential improvements.
• Produce comprehensive technical documents such as RFCs, ADRs, and design specifications to clarify engineering approaches.
• Conduct structured code reviews and debug scenarios, outlining step-by-step reasoning and recommended solutions.
• Translate complex engineering concepts into concise, accessible language suitable for a broad audience.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience delivering production-grade software using a modern technology stack.
• Demonstrated expertise in technical writing, including authoring RFCs, ADRs, or substantial code review commentary.
• Strong analytical skills in system design, performance evaluation, and debugging real-world software challenges.
• Proven ability to communicate intricate technical topics clearly and persuasively in written English.
• Familiarity with automation testing frameworks and performance analysis methodologies.
