Software Engineer (Scala)

IntellectEU is a leading international technology company specializing in digital finance and emerging technologies. We are currently seeking a talented Software Engineer with deep Scala expertise to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative financial platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement features end-to-end, managing the process from initial specification through testing, code review, and final deployment.
• Contribute to the development of cutting-edge distributed ledger technology that powers critical market infrastructures.
• Maintain high standards for code quality, comprehensive test coverage, and thorough documentation in environments where correctness is paramount.
• Collaborate effectively within a globally distributed Agile team, utilizing asynchronous communication to coordinate across various time zones.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of professional experience with Scala, including a strong command of functional programming patterns such as typeclasses, effect systems, and immutability.
• Deep understanding of the Scala type system, including implicits, givens, and leveraging the compiler for robust correctness guarantees.
• Solid knowledge of distributed systems, including consensus mechanisms, fault tolerance, eventual consistency, and partition handling.
• Experience working with gRPC, Protobuf, and service-oriented architectures.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to provide constructive feedback during technical architecture discussions.
