Software Engineer

Smartcuts is building an innovative browser extension that transforms user clicks and keystrokes into shareable, no-code automations. We are looking for a talented Software Engineer to join our distributed team and help us solve complex engineering challenges in a fast-paced, creative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design intuitive product features that hide complex engineering concepts from the end user.
• Develop robust algorithms capable of reliably locating elements on web pages without manual CSS selector input.
• Leverage artificial intelligence to automatically detect and extract structured data records from various web pages.
• Collaborate with a small, high-impact team to build scalable, serverless architectures.

Requirements

• Strong proficiency in functional programming and a preference for strongly typed languages.
• Experience or deep interest in working with modern web technologies such as ReasonML, ReScript, and Next.js.
• A curious mindset with a focus on clarity and a genuine appetite for continuous learning.
• Ability to thrive in a distributed team environment while maintaining high standards for code quality.
