Software Engineer

Picus Security is a pioneer in exposure validation, helping organizations prove what attackers can exploit and what their defenses stop. We are looking for a passionate Software Engineer to join our distributed engineering team and contribute to our innovative cybersecurity platform that operates across diverse environments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain a Windows agent using C# and .NET.
• Work hands-on with Windows internals, including services, processes, registry, permissions, and inter-process communication.
• Collaborate with AI agents as everyday teammates and help improve our AI-native development framework.
• Own features end-to-end, from design and implementation through testing, release, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with product, UX, and fellow engineers in a self-organizing agile team.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development experience, primarily in C# and .NET.
• Solid understanding of the Windows OS, including services, processes, registry, and permissions.
• Willingness to work on backend services and other platforms beyond Windows.
• Experience using AI coding assistants or agents with good judgment.
• Strong fundamentals in software design, data structures, algorithms, and unit testing.
• Clear written and spoken communication in English.
