Software Engineer

AgileEngine is an Inc. 5000 company that creates award-winning software for Fortune 500 brands and trailblazing startups. We are currently looking for a Senior TypeScript Engineer to take technical ownership of an application-protection product as the sole engineer on the codebase.

Key responsibilities

• Own the technical development of the product, moving from high-level goals to researched implementation options and working features.
• Develop application-protection capabilities across various JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks and build environments.
• Investigate browser runtime behavior, protection approaches, and developer-tools inspection while evaluating performance trade-offs.
• Run short research spikes to present findings, risks, and recommendations to the lead architect.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to accelerate implementation while independently verifying and validating all generated code.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on TypeScript engineering skills with at least 3 years of experience and a proven ability to own technical delivery independently.
• Deep understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript behavior, browser execution, and the build ecosystem, including tools like Webpack or Vite.
• A product-engineering mindset with the ability to make progress from incomplete requirements and investigate unknowns.
• Critical thinking skills and the ability to review unfamiliar code, identify vulnerabilities, and explain technical trade-offs.
• Upper-intermediate English proficiency and availability for European team overlap.
