Software Engineer P2P - Search Team (100% Remote, Worldwide)

Tether Operations Limited is looking for a skilled Software Engineer to join the P2P Search team. You will be part of a global, remote-first organization dedicated to pioneering decentralized financial and communication technologies.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a next-generation stack for resilient, decentralized search.
• Architect peer-to-peer solutions that function without centralized indexing.
• Build self-organizing, unstoppable search engines for diverse data types including text, media, and communications.
• Optimize network protocols and ensure high performance in highly concurrent environments.

Requirements

• Deep understanding of Kademlia DHT and distributed indexing research.
• Experience with distributed databases and CRDTs.
• Strong knowledge of P2P networking, including TCP/IP, NAT traversal, and encryption.
• Expertise in classical information retrieval topics, such as ranking algorithms and inverted indices.
• Proficiency in writing high-performance, concurrent networking code.
• Familiarity with the Holepunch stack, including hyperdht, hyperswarm, and hypercore.
