Software Engineer (Java)

Cognizant is seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our expanding engineering team, supporting a strategic initiative within the financial domain. Key responsibilities

• Design and build scalable back-end solutions using Java and Spring Boot.
• Own the full software development lifecycle, from initial requirements gathering to deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and various stakeholders.
• Drive engineering excellence and provide mentorship to other team members.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Java with extensive experience in Spring Boot, Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Solid knowledge of Hibernate and microservices architecture.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions and cloud platforms.
• Strong understanding of unit testing, REST APIs, and security best practices.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive ownership mindset.
