Software Engineer IV, Max Digital

ACV Auctions is a technology company revolutionizing the automotive industry by transforming how dealers buy and sell cars online. We are seeking a Software Engineer IV to join our MAX Digital team, focusing on backend development and architecture within a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop APIs, services, and MVC web applications using C#, ASP.NET, and SQL Server.
• Design and build scalable, reliable systems with a focus on performance and operational excellence.
• Design and maintain Kafka-based event processing services to drive downstream workflows.
• Own complex initiatives end-to-end, from discovery and requirements through to production support.
• Provide technical leadership through mentoring, code reviews, and establishing engineering standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 8 years of experience building SaaS web applications using ASP.NET, C#, and JavaScript or Python.
• Strong experience with cloud services (AWS), including SQS, SNS, S3, ECS, EKS, and Lambda.
• Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation workflows.
• Proven track record in SQL programming, schema design, and query performance tuning.
• Experience architecting systems from the ground up with a focus on scalability and maintainability.
