Software Engineer II

Akamai Technologies is seeking a Software Engineer II to join our Engineering Team, where we develop integrated web interfaces and APIs for our global platform. You will work collaboratively within the full engineering cycle, focusing on open-source projects such as the Akamai Terraform Provider and Akamai CLI to deliver robust, reliable software solutions for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain open-source tools utilized by our customers.
• Implement and enhance Akamai Terraform Provider and Akamai CLI projects.
• Create new features from scratch and optimize existing functionality.
• Contribute to key technical decisions and design choices.
• Collaborate with QA teams to create regression tests for new software changes.

Requirements

• Experience with programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java.
• Basic understanding of Terraform and Infrastructure as a Code concepts.
• Experience with Docker or similar container technologies.
• Proven ability to work effectively within a remote Agile team.
• Strong detail-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.
