Software Engineer (Go)

Inuits is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust backend services for a cloud-based Quality Management System tailored for the Life Sciences industry. This role is ideal for an experienced professional who thrives in a fully remote environment, makes independent technical decisions, and integrates AI-assisted development into their daily workflow.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build scalable backend services with robust REST APIs.
• Apply Domain-Driven Design and microservice patterns to ensure services remain loosely coupled and aligned with business domains.
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to maintain high reliability in a regulated environment.
• Manage services across their full lifecycle, including CI/CD, monitoring, diagnostics, and maintenance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UI developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers, to deliver complete features.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on backend software development experience.
• Commercial experience with Go, or strong proficiency in Python or TypeScript with relevant web frameworks.
• Solid understanding of microservice architecture and Domain-Driven Design.
• Experience with SQL databases and NoSQL stores, as well as message bus concepts like Kafka or SQS.
• Proficiency with Docker, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Daily use of AI tools as part of your development workflow and very good English skills.
