Software Engineer (DevOps) - Observability Platform

Revolut is looking for an Observability Platform Engineer to join our Technology team and build systems that monitor thousands of applications, databases, and services. You will be responsible for delivering a robust platform that provides critical insights through logging, metrics, and tracing, ensuring our engineering teams can optimize performance and resolve incidents efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable observability solutions for logs, metrics, and traces using industry-standard technologies.
• Build robust APIs and data pipelines to ingest, process, and expose observability data to internal product teams.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate monitoring and alerting solutions that streamline debugging and component management.
• Optimize observability infrastructure for performance, cost-effectiveness, and user experience.
• Develop automation tooling to manage the lifecycle of components within the observability platform.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a software engineer, with at least 3 years focused on observability platforms or distributed systems.
• Expertise in designing APIs and data pipelines for high-throughput, real-time data ingestion.
• Hands-on experience with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, the ELK stack, Jaeger, and OpenTelemetry.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and incident response best practices.
